Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production targets and ensure on-time garment delivery.
• Manage production managers, supervisors, line leaders, operators and helpers; allocate manpower and monitor performance.
• Coordinate with quality, planning, merchandising, and purchasing teams to ensure material availability and schedule adherence.
• Maintain quality control by ensuring garments meet buyer specs and reducing defects and rework.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, overtime, wastage, and productivity; drive lean improvements and KPI improvements.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, safety standards, and factory policies; generate daily and monthly performance reports.

Job Summary

The Factory Head is responsible for managing the overall garment manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, maintaining product quality, controlling costs, optimizing manpower, and ensuring timely delivery of orders. The role requires strong leadership, production planning, quality management, and coordination with all departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management
   • Plan, monitor, and control daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
   • Ensure timely completion of garment orders as per buyer requirements.
   • Monitor cutting, stitching, finishing, ironing, packing, and dispatch operations.
   • Improve production efficiency and minimize bottlenecks.
2. Manpower Management
   • Manage production managers, supervisors, line leaders, operators, and helpers.
   • Allocate manpower based on production requirements.
   • Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline, and workforce performance.
   • Train and develop employees to improve operational efficiency.
3. Quality Control
   • Ensure garments meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
   • Coordinate with the quality team to reduce defects and rework.
   • Implement quality control procedures at every production stage.
   • Handle quality issues and corrective actions.
4. Planning and Supply Chain
   • Coordinate with merchandising, purchase, stores, and planning teams.
   • Ensure timely availability of fabric, trims, accessories, and other materials.
   • Monitor production schedules and shipment deadlines.
   • Coordinate with buyers and internal teams when required.
5. Cost Control and Productivity
   • Control manufacturing costs, overtime, wastage, and material consumption.
   • Improve line efficiency and overall factory productivity.
   • Monitor production KPIs, including output per operator and rejection rates.
   • Implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
6. Factory Administration and Compliance
   • Ensure compliance with labour laws, safety standards, and company policies.
   • Maintain factory discipline, housekeeping, and workplace safety.
   • Coordinate maintenance of machinery and production equipment.
   • Prepare daily production reports and monthly performance reports.
