Job summary

NCR Atleos is seeking a Security Officer (Physical Security Operations) to oversee end-to-end security across multiple sites. The role emphasizes managing security personnel, implementing SOPs, and coordinating with vendors for security systems and services.

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of relevant experience, strong operational control, and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. This is an on-site position requiring robust leadership and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline is preferred.
• Defense, paramilitary, or professional security background is an added advantage.
• Relevant security certifications are an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day physical security operations across assigned sites/facilities.
• Plan, deploy, and supervise security manpower; prepare rosters, shifts, relievers, and leave planning.
• Create, implement, and review security SOPs/post orders including visitor management, material movement, access control, and emergency response.
• Manage security automation systems (CCTV, VMS, ACS, and intrusion detection) and coordinate with vendors for installation and maintenance.
• Validate monthly security bills, attendance sheets, OT claims, and deployment strength; ensure billing accuracy per contract/SLA.
• Respond to security incidents; conduct preliminary investigations and prepare root-cause incident reports.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly security MIS and present observations and improvement plans to management.

Security Officer (Physical Security Operations)

Experience: 8-10 Years

Role Purpose:

The Security Officer is responsible for managing end-to-end physical security operations, including day-to-day security activities, manpower deployment, creation and implementation of SOPs, vendor coordination, monthly billing validation, and management of security automation systems. The role requires strong operational control, process orientation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Physical Security Operations

• Manage day-to-day physical security operations across assigned sites/facilities.
• Ensure protection of employees, visitors, assets, and infrastructure.
• Oversee access control, perimeter security, surveillance, and patrolling activities.
• Conduct routine inspections, audits, and compliance checks.

Manpower Management & Deployment

• Plan, deploy, and supervise security manpower as per operational and risk requirements.
• Prepare duty rosters, shift schedules, relievers, and leave planning.
• Monitor guard performance, discipline, and adherence to SOPs.
• Address issues related to absenteeism, misconduct, and operational gaps.

SOP Development & Compliance

• Create, implement, and periodically review security SOPs and post orders, including:

• Visitor management

• Material movement (inward/outward)

• Access control procedures

• Emergency response and incident handling

• Ensure SOP compliance through training, audits, and mock drills.

• Maintain documentation for audits and management review.

Security Automation & Systems

• Manage and monitor security automation systems such as:

• CCTV and Video Management Systems (VMS)
• Access Control Systems (ACS)
• Alarm and intrusion detection systems
• Coordinate with vendors for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure system uptime, reporting, and basic first-level issue resolution.

Vendor Management & Monthly Billing

• Coordinate with security service providers and related vendors.
• Validate monthly security bills, attendance sheets, OT claims, and deployment strength.
• Ensure billing accuracy as per contract, SLA, and approved manpower.
• Highlight discrepancies and follow up for corrective action.

Incident Management & Reporting

• Respond to security incidents, breaches, thefts, and emergencies.
• Conduct preliminary investigations and prepare incident reports with root-cause analysis.
• Recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Liaise with local authorities and emergency services when required.

Reporting & MIS

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security reports and MIS.
• Track incidents, manpower, audits, automation uptime, and billing data.
• Present observations and improvement plans to management.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of physical security operations
• Experience in manpower management and deployment
• SOP drafting and process implementation skills
• Working knowledge of CCTV, ACS, VMS, and security automation
• Vendor coordination and billing validation experience
• Good communication, leadership, and reporting skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and basic reporting tools

Qualification

• Graduate in any discipline (preferred)

• Relevant security or safety certifications are an added advantage

Experience Requirement

• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in physical security operations
• Experience in corporate offices, factories, pharma, IT parks, or large facilities preferred
• Exposure to multi-site operations and security automation is highly desirable
