Job summary

Pinnacle Solutions in Mumbai is seeking a Facade Engineer to lead technical design and performance of building facades and envelopes on-site. You will develop facade concepts, perform calculations, prepare drawings and specifications, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors.

Strong knowledge of building physics, thermal and acoustic performance, and code compliance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architecture is required; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Experience working on facade or building envelope projects, preferably in commercial or high-rise buildings.
• Proficiency in design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and facade-specific tools.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Effective communication and teamwork to coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders on-site.

Role Description The Facade Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for the technical design and performance of building facades and envelopes. Day-to-day activities include developing facade concepts, carrying out detailed engineering calculations, and preparing drawings and specifications in coordination with design and project teams. The role involves assessing structural integrity, thermal and acoustic performance, weatherproofing, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. The Facade Engineer will collaborate with architects, contractors, and suppliers, review shop drawings and material submissions, support site installation, and troubleshoot design or performance issues during construction. The position also includes contributing to value engineering, risk assessments, and continuous improvement of facade systems and materials.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in Facade Design and Facade systems, including concept development and detailing.
• Candidates should possess solid understanding of Building Envelope design, including integration with structure and services.
• Candidates should possess skills in Structural Engineering related to facades, such as load calculations, connections, and material behavior.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Building Physics, including thermal performance, daylighting, acoustics, and moisture control.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture) is required; a master’s degree in a related field is an advantage.
• Experience working on facade or building envelope projects, preferably in commercial or high-rise buildings.
