Job summary

Lodha is seeking a skilled facade draftsman to support the Facade Design Lead in design development. You will prepare facade intent drawings, coordinate inputs from architects, structural and MEP teams, and gather technical specifications and pricing.

Responsibilities include maintaining design documentation, compiling samples, and addressing technical queries from bidders. 5+ years of relevant experience preferred. Mumbai-based opportunity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a draftsman, preferably in high-rise facade projects.
• Basic understanding of facade engineering principles, fabrication techniques and installation methodologies.
• Experience in preparing facade drawings and coordinating technical documentation.

Job description

Role Objective

Support the Facade Design Lead in design development by preparing facade intent drawings, coordinating architectural and structural inputs, gathering technical specifications and pricing, and maintaining design documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Coordination & Pre-Contracts

• Coordinate with Architects, Structural, Interiors and MEP teams to collect relevant drawings and technical inputs.
• Prepare basic facade intent drawings based on inputs from the Facade Design Lead.
• Collect technical details, specifications and pricing of facade materials from suppliers and vendors.
• Arrange material samples, including glass, powder/PVDF coatings and perforated panels, for architectural approvals.
• Compile project photographs and views for facade tender presentations.
• Consolidate technical queries received from bidders.

2. Post-Contracts & Documentation

• Compile drawings, samples and specifications as instructed by the Design Lead.
• Maintain records of design submissions, correspondence and variation claims.
• Prepare drawing submissions and variation claim documents for review and discussions.
• Ensure proper filing and traceability of all project-related documents.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a draftsman, preferably in high-rise facade projects.
• Basic understanding of facade engineering principles, fabrication techniques and installation methodologies.
• Experience in preparing facade drawings and coordinating technical documentation.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (ACAD).
• Working knowledge of MS Office and PowerPoint.
