Job summary

Gsource Technologies Private Limited in Pune is hiring a Facade Design Engineer to create shop, schematic and detailing drawings for facades and building enclosures. Prior experience on US projects and knowledge of US codes are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture required.
• 2-4 years of facade design experience with shop/schematic/detailed drawings.
• Experience on US projects; knowledge of US building codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or relevant facade design software.
• Knowledge of facade systems, materials, and construction techniques.
• Experience with design-assist services for facade/building enclosure projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, general contractors and stakeholders to develop innovative façade designs.
• Create shop drawings, schematic drawings, architectural layouts, presentation drawings and elevations for facade systems (rain screen, stone, ceramic/terracotta, metallic framing, closed cavity, storefront, window wall, curtain wall).
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and building codes during design and documentation.
• Conduct technical analysis to assess feasibility and performance of façade systems.
• Review and interpret architectural plans to ensure correct design intent implementation.
• Provide design-assist services at schematic design, shop drawing development and construction support stages.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to resolve design issues and ensure project execution.
• Stay updated with trends and technologies in facade design and construction.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of design changes and project correspondence.

We are currently hiring experienced Facade Design Engineers at Gsource Technologies. As a Facade Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating shop drawings, schematic drawings, and detailing drawings of facades and building enclosures. Experience working on US projects is a must. Gsource works as a design-assist at various phases of facade/building enclosure projects, providing support to architects, general contractors, and manufacturers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Collaborate with internal architects, general contractors, and other stakeholders to develop innovative facade designs that meet project requirements.
2. Create shop drawings, schematic drawings, architectural layouts, presentation drawings, and elevations for various facade systems including rain screen, stone, ceramic or terracotta, metallic framing, closed cavity, storefront, window wall, and curtain wall.
3. Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and regulations in the design and documentation process.
4. Conduct technical analysis and calculations to determine the feasibility and performance of facade systems.
5. Utilize software such as AutoCAD or other relevant design software to create accurate and detailed drawings.

Requirements

1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture.

4. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or other relevant software for facade design.
