Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering needed.
• 15+ years in fabrication yard management.
• Mandatory experience in Railway and/or Metro Projects.
• Knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding, and quality standards.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings, GA drawings and design documents.
• Familiarity with IS codes and quality procedures.
• Strong leadership and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end fabrication yard operations for structural steel components.
• Review and coordinate fabrication drawings, GA drawings, shop drawings, and design documents.
• Coordinate with the design, engineering, project, and site execution teams.
• Plan production schedules and ensure timely fabrication and dispatch of materials.
• Ensure fabrication is carried out as per approved drawings, client specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor welding, cutting, assembly, fit-up, blasting, painting, and dispatch activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, WPS/PQR, ITP, and inspection requirements.
• Optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization to improve productivity.
• Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely material availability.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and company HSE policies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Resolve fabrication and design-related technical issues.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Fabrication Manager with 15+ years of experience in yard fabrication for Railway and Metro infrastructure projects. The candidate should have strong expertise in structural steel fabrication, fabrication yard management, design coordination, production planning, quality control, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end fabrication yard operations for structural steel components.
• Review and coordinate fabrication drawings, GA drawings, shop drawings, and design documents.
• Coordinate with the design, engineering, project, and site execution teams.
• Plan production schedules and ensure timely fabrication and dispatch of materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in fabrication yard management.
• Mandatory experience in Railway and/or Metro Projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding processes, fabrication techniques, and quality standards.
• Experience in interpreting shop drawings, fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and design documents.
• Familiarity with relevant IS codes, welding standards, and quality procedures.
• Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and team management skills.

Preferred

• Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects such as Railways, Metro, Bridges, or Stations.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.
