Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to oversee fabrication operations, ensure on-time delivery, and enforce safety and quality standards on the shop floor in India.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and coordination across fabrication, welding, and assembly teams, with exposure to engineering drawings, ERP systems, and basic AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Requires BTech in mechanical/industrial engineering or related field.
• Experience in fabrication/manufacturing shop floor operations preferred.
• Strong leadership and coordination capabilities.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and oversee all fabrication activities to meet production targets.
• Supervise fabrication processes including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate teams of fabricators, welders, and technicians.
• Allocate work, handle shift planning, and provide training to the team.
• Ensure optimal use of manpower, machines, and materials.
• Monitor production progress and resolve bottlenecks efficiently.
• Maintain quality standards and minimize defects, rework, and wastage.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and compliance.
• Enforce safety regulations, PPE usage, and conduct risk assessments.

Job Description

A Fabrication Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all fabrication operations to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, timely delivery, and strict adherence to safety standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and coordination skills to handle teams, processes, and resources effectively within a manufacturing or workshop environment.
