Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Fabric General Manager to lead our end-to-end fabric operations, sourcing, and technical development strategies. In this leadership role, you will oversee the entire fabric lifecyclefrom raw material sourcing and mill development to bulk production, quality assurance, and P&L management. The ideal candidate blends deep technical textile knowledge with strong commercial acumen, operational excellence, and cross-functional leadership.

Role & responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Operations:
  • Direct overall fabric operations, production planning, and supply chain execution to ensure timely delivery and optimal efficiency.
  • Drive operational excellence across spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, and finishing stages (applicable if managing a mill/facility).
• Sourcing & Vendor Management:
  • Oversee global or regional sourcing strategies for raw materials, yarns, greige goods, and trims.
  • Build, negotiate, and maintain long-term, strategic partnerships with top-tier textile mills and suppliers.
  • Monitor global commodity trends, yarn pricing, and lead times to mitigate supply chain risks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in textile manufacturing, fabric R&D, apparel production, or textile sourcing.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of fabric constructions (knits, wovens, technical textiles), dyeing chemistry, textile machinery, and finishing technologies.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong financial literacy, experience managing large-scale operational budgets, and proven skill in vendor contract negotiations.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry, Fashion/Apparel Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Masters/MBA is often preferred).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, crisis management, cross-cultural communication, and data-driven problem-solving capabilities.
