Job summary

Nice Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Fabric Data Architect to design and evolve scalable enterprise data architectures within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.

You will build modern Lakehouse solutions, enable efficient data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics, and drive end-to-end data architecture across Azure services. Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Data Warehousing.
• Strong experience designing modern cloud data architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake.
• Strong understanding of Lakehouse architecture and Delta Lake.
• Experience with SQL and PySpark.
• Experience building data pipelines using Azure Data Factory or Fabric Data Factory.
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture and modern data engineering patterns.
• Experience with incremental loads, CDC, data transformation and data integration.
• Familiarity with Fabric Warehouse and analytic data platforms.
• Understanding of Git, CI/CD, deployment and version-control practices.
• Knowledge of data security, monitoring, governance and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain architecture to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define, design and evolve enterprise data architecture using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
• Implement OneLake and Lakehouse architectures aligned with enterprise data requirements.
• Develop and optimize Medallion Architecture across Bronze, Silver, Gold layers.
• Design scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Fabric Data Factory / Azure Data Factory.
• Build and optimize data processing using PySpark / Apache Spark.
• Create complex SQL and T-SQL solutions for data transformation and analytics.
• Design incremental loading and CDC strategies.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure architecture and engineering standards are followed.
• Document architecture, data flows, designs and decisions.
• Support integration of data from multiple sources and ensure governance.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Fabric Data Architect with strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse architecture, PySpark, SQL, and data pipelines.

The role will be responsible for designing and evolving scalable enterprise data architectures, building modern Lakehouse solutions, and enabling efficient data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics using the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.

The ideal candidate should have strong end‑to‑end Data Architecture experience on Azure and be comfortable working across architecture, data engineering, modelling, pipelines, performance optimization, and technical solutioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and design scalable enterprise data architecture using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
• Design and implement OneLake and Lakehouse architectures aligned with enterprise data requirements.
• Develop and optimize Medallion Architecture using Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• Design scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Fabric Data Factory / Azure Data Factory.
• Build and optimize data processing solutions using PySpark / Apache Spark.
• Develop complex SQL and T‑SQL solutions for data transformation, integration, and analytics.
• Design and implement incremental data loading and CDC (Change Data Capture) strategies.
• Work with Delta Lake, Fabric Warehouse, Lakehouse, and OneLake to build modern data platforms.
• Define conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business and technical requirements.
• Ensure data solutions are designed for performance, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and cost optimization.
• Establish data architecture standards, design principles, and best practices.
• Implement appropriate security, access control, monitoring, logging, and governance mechanisms.
• Support integration of data from multiple enterprise and cloud sources.
• Work with development teams to ensure architecture and engineering standards are followed.
• Implement and maintain basic Git‑based version control and CI/CD practices for data solutions.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline, performance, and architectural issues and provide scalable solutions.
• Document architecture, data flows, technical designs, and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and technical teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
