Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of Medallion Lakehouse architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold) on Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
• Develop and maintain enterprise data models, data flows, and architectural blueprints for complex integrations and real-time streaming.
• Optimize storage, performance, and governance across systems while ensuring data integrity.
• Mentor junior data engineering teams and translate business needs into technical specs.
• Oversee migrations from legacy systems to Fabric environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: Lead end-to-end design and implementation of modern Medallion Lakehouse architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold) on Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and cloud ecosystems.
• Data Modeling & Strategy: Develop and maintain enterprise data models, data flow diagrams, and architectural blueprints for complex data integration and real-time streaming.
• Performance & Governance: Optimize data storage, retrieval, and pipeline performance while ensuring data integrity, security, and governance across systems.
• Technical Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and mentor junior data engineering teams.
• Migrations & Modernization: Oversee seamless legacy migrations (Synapse, Oracle, OBIEE) to modern Fabric environments.

Qualifications & Key Skills

• Core Expertise: 12+ years in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, ETL, and Data Warehousing.
• Tech Stack: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Cloud ecosystem, PySpark/Python, SQL, Big Data, and Data Lake/Delta Lake concepts.
• Industry Focus: Proven track record in designing scalable data platforms and automated DataOps pipelines.
• Certifications (Bonus): Microsoft Certified (e.g., Azure Data Engineer / DP-700 / Fabric Data Engineer Associate) is a big plus.
