We seek a welding technician to identify proper welds, adjust equipment, and maintain quality in a fast-paced plant. The role requires lifting up to 40 lbs, standing on hard surfaces, and working in non-climate-controlled temperatures. OT is possible.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate the ability to safely lift to 40 lbs. repeatedly.
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces while working.
• Work in non-climate-controlled temperatures.
• Commitment to participate in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Identify proper welding wire and alloy for the base metal.
• Change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles and set tension on rollers.
• Set proper welding parameters (voltage & wire speed).
• Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in various positions.
• Demonstrate competency in post-welding treatment (brushing, cleaning, straightening & weld quality).
• Pass Welding Performance Test on-site during interview.
• Operate in a fast-paced assembly facility.
• Handle several hundred small welds per shift.

Wage: $19.58 per hour plus $1 per hour swing differential

Shift- 1pm-9pm Monday-Friday with OT

What you will be doing

• Identify proper welding wire and alloy is used for the applicable base metal.
• Ability to change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles and set proper tension on rollers.
• Ability to set proper welding parameters (voltage & wire speed).
• Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in the Flat, Horizontal & Vertical Fillet Positions.
• Demonstrate competency in post welding treatment – i.e., brushing, cleaning, straightening & weld quality.
• Pass Welding Performance Test (given on-site during interview process-Q.A. determination).
• Fast paced assembly style facility.
• Ability to handle several hundred small welds applied in a single shift.

• Technical Training Desired with focus in Welding.
• Welding Certification, preferred.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
