Job summary

Hydro Extrusions is a world-leading aluminium extrusion business seeking a skilled welder for our first shift in the Delhi area. You will identify proper welding wire and alloy, set welding parameters, and demonstrate GMAW techniques on aluminum in multiple positions.

This fast-paced assembly environment requires lifting up to 40 lbs, standing on hard surfaces, and working in non-climate-controlled temperatures. Technical welding training and certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces during shifts.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled temperatures.
• Commitment to participate in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Identify proper welding wire and alloy used for the base metal.
• Change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles and set tension as needed.
• Set proper welding parameters (voltage & wire speed).
• Demonstrate GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in multiple positions.
• Perform post-welding treatment: brushing, cleaning, straightening & weld quality.
• Pass welding performance test during interview process.
• Handle several hundred small welds per shift.

Shifts Available: First Shift 5AM to 1PM

What you will be doing

• Identify proper welding wire and alloy is used for the applicable base metal.
• Ability to change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles and set proper tension on rollers.
• Ability to set proper welding parameters (voltage & wire speed).
• Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in the Flat, Horizontal & Vertical Fillet Positions.
• Demonstrate competency in post welding treatment - i.e., brushing, cleaning, straightening & weld quality.
• Pass Welding Performance Test (given on-site during interview process-Q.A. determination).
• Fast paced assembly style facility.
• Ability to handle several hundred small welds applied in a single shift.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Must demonstrate the ability to safely lift to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Must have the ability to stand on hard surfaces while working.
• Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled temperatures.
• Commitment to participate in continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical Training Desired with focus in Welding.
• Welding Certification, preferred.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
