Job summary

Norsk Hydro (Hydro Extrusions) is seeking operators in our fabrication area to ensure on-time daily product delivery with zero defects. The role emphasizes safety, quality and productive teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will be required to read tape measures, follow daily tasks, and maintain equipment and work areas. Prior exposure to industrial saws and press brakes is a plus; two years in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure internal customers receive daily products on time with no quality defects.
• Uphold safety, quality and production core values.
• Complete daily tasks (cut-sheets).
• Read a tape measure; testing will be conducted.
• Maintain department housekeeping to required standards.
• Ensure machines are in working order and clean during the day.
• Maintain material accuracy per site tolerances for welding.
• Keep material racks safe and organized; maximize material usage.

Wage is $18.72 per hour plus benefits

This is a 5am to 3:30pm shift- M-Fr with some mandatory OT on Saturdays

What you will be doing

Primary Function

• Ensure internal customers (Fabrication) receives daily products on time with no quality defects.
• Ensure we are practicing our core values and keeping mind on safety, quality and production.
• Completion of daily tasks assigned (Cut-sheets).
• Basic knowledge/experience needed on Industrial style saws, press Brakes, plasma tables, end-mills are a plus.
• Must be able to read a tape measure. Testing will be conducted.
• Ensure housekeeping of the department is at an acceptable level set forth by lead and Dept. Manager.
• Ensure machines used are in working order and clean throughout the work day
• Material accuracy going to welding cell set-forth by site tolerances.
• Material racks stay safe and organized
• Maximizing usage of material.
