Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai is seeking an experienced F5 Load Balancer L3 Engineer to manage and support enterprise application delivery. You will work with F5 BIG-IP LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM and APM to design, implement and optimize load balancing solutions across complex environments.

You will perform advanced troubleshooting, configure virtual servers and iRules, oversee upgrades and migrations, and collaborate with network, security and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability and

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM.
• Experience with GTM/DNS, ASM and APM modules.
• Proficient in load balancing concepts and application delivery.
• Experience in HA configurations and disaster recovery preparations.
• ITIL/change-management familiarity is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L3 support for F5 BIG-IP platforms (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, APM).


• Design, implement, and maintain load balancing solutions across enterprise environments.


• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for application delivery and network-related issues.


• Configure and manage Virtual Servers, Pools, iRules, SSL offloading, and health monitors.


• Handle F5 upgrades, patching, migrations, and capacity planning activities.


• Collaborate with network, security, infrastructure, and application teams for project implementations.


• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery configurations are maintained.


• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM.


• Good knowledge of GTM/DNS, ASM, APM modules.


• Expertise in load balancing concepts, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS protocols.


• Experience in HA configurations, failover, and traffic management.


• Knowledge of routing and switching fundamentals.


• Experience in troubleshooting production environments and handling critical incidents.


• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.
