Job summary

Axiscades Engineering Technologies in Bengaluru seeks a Structural Repair Engineer (F & DT) to deliver timely return-to-service for aircraft by providing optimal structural repair solutions from design and stress perspectives. You will engage stakeholders, assess Airbus documentation, and prepare F&DT reports to support repair decisions.

The role requires 3–5 years in wing in-service repairs, knowledge of SRM and repair principles, and experience with Airbus documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering (Aerospace or Mechanical).
• 3–5 years of experience in wing in-service repairs.
• Understanding of in-service and operator requirements.
• Experience in wing repairs – provide F&DT justification to in-service damages.
• Find data to assess aircraft damage/repair (F&DT documents).
• Perform F&DT analysis to evaluate repair solutions as per Airbus Standards.
• Prepare F&DT justification reports.
• Sound knowledge in SRM chapters and repair principles.
• A/C materials, fastener types and rules.
• Experience in handling Airbus documentation (Drawings, Technical notes, Manuals, Service Bulletin, SRM).
• Knowledge of repair process in TRM.
• Collaborate with client technical team and prepare technical reports.
• Prepare documents to explain and support repair decisions.
• Ensure repairs are done on time, maintaining aircraft safety.

Job Description:

The job holder is responsible to ensure the timely return-to-service for the commercial Aircraft by providing an optimal structural repair solutions considering the time & cost aspects. This has to be ensured from a design and/or stress perspective for product Safety by engaging the right stakeholders.

Key Technical skills and activities:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace or Mechanical)
• 3 to 5 years of experience in wing In-service repairs
• Understanding of in-service and operator requirements
• Experience in wing repairs – Provide F & DT justification to in-service damages (accidental and aging).
• Find correct data (Example: F&DT Aircraft Certification Documents, F&DT Generic Reports etc) to assess aircraft damage/repair.
• Perform F&DT analysis to evaluate repair solutions as per Airbus Standards and define maintenance programs.
• Prepare technical F&DT justification reports.
• Sound knowledge in SRM chapters and repair principles.
