Infosys Limited in India invites a Design Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to design and develop plastics trims for global passenger cars. You will work on perimeters such as bumper, tailgate, and interior trims, translating inputs into reliable CAD models.

You will interact with client engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers, and lead a small 2–3 person team on perimeter programs while ensuring program requirements are met.

Qualifikationen

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• 3–9 years in plastics product design for automotive cars.
• Experience with CAD tools and product development lifecycle.

• Perimeters: Bumper, Tailgate, Lighting, Body Claddings, interior trims, I/P, floor console
• Interact with client engineers, understand the inputs and execute the designs independently with little supervision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to manage deliverables, participate in design reviews and meetings and achieve program requirements.
• Lead a team of 2-3 members for a perimeter/ program.
• Good communication skills to discuss with onsite engineers and clients to understand the requirements.

Additional Responsibilities: B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with 3–9 years in plastics product design for automotive cars

• PD tools: CATIA V5, NX, Teamcenter, Windchill
• Strong knowledge of product development cycle (NPD), plastics materials and manufacturing processes.
• Good knowledge of plastics design guidelines and tooling fundamentals.
• knowledge of automotive safety standards like ECE & FMVSS desirable.
• Skills to perform regulatory checks on style surfaces for passenger & pedestrian safety (ECE-26).
• Skills on assembly management and OEM drawing creation will be added advantage
• Working knowledge with European or American clients with cross cultural sensitivity.
• Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and listening.
