Job summary

Randstad Global Capability Center Private Limited in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced AI Platform Support Engineer / Lead to own our AI production environment. You will ensure health, reliability, and scalable operation of multiple AI agents on GCP and Vertex AI.

The role requires 7+ years in Platform Support, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering, with strong Python and JavaScript skills, and hands-on CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).

Qualifications

• Python and JavaScript for automation and troubleshooting.

About the Role We are looking for an experienced AI Platform Support Engineer / Lead to take full ownership of our AI production environment. In this role, you will ensure the health, reliability, and smooth scaling of five to six active AI agents hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI. You will act as the primary owner for production stability, stepping in to build our support processes and release pipelines from the ground up.

What You Will Do

• Own Production Health: Monitor and maintain the end-to-end performance, uptime, and scaling of 5 to 6 AI agents running on GCP and Vertex AI.
• L2 Defect Triage & Support: Act as the lead for Level 2 (L2) support. Quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve critical production defects.
• Manage Deployments: Take charge of production deployments, ensuring that new AI features and critical enhancements go live smoothly and safely.
• Build the Framework: Design and build our entire AI support framework from scratch.
• Automate with CI/CD: Create, manage, and improve CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) pipelines to automate our release processes.
• Create Runbooks: Write clear, step-by-step runbooks and documentation to make future troubleshooting faster and easier.
• Ensure High Availability: Proactively identify system bottlenecks and apply fixes to keep our AI environment highly available at all times.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in Platform Support, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering.

• Cloud Skills: Strong practical knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Specific experience with Vertex AI is highly preferred.
• Programming Languages: Solid coding and scripting skills, specifically in Python and JavaScript, to write automation, support backend services, and troubleshoot applications.
• Pipeline Building: Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines from scratch (e.g., using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools).
• Troubleshooting: Strong background in L2 defect triage, log analysis, and resolving complex production issues.
• Process Creation: Experience writing technical runbooks and setting up incident management frameworks.
• Communication: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms to different teams.
