Job summary

Sidvin Energy Engineering in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Process Engineer with offshore FPSO/platforms and onshore oil & gas experience to deliver quality process deliverables from FEED to detailed engineering. You will use HYSYS or Unisim for process simulations, prepare PFDs and P&IDs, and ensure accurate heat and material balance, instrument datasheets, and line sizing calculations.

• Develop PFDs and P&IDs from scratch to As-Built status.
• Check heat & material balance and equipment sizing.
• Prepare instrument datasheets for valves, meters, analyzers.
• Participate in HAZOP/SIL/LOPA workshops as required.
• Interface with Piping, Instrumentation and Mechanical teams.
• Review vendor P&IDs and provide resolution comments.

Job description

• Process engineering knowledge should be well utilized to deliver quality process deliverables and ability to review in-house and third-party documents.
• Must possess work experience in offshore FPSO / Platforms and onshore oil and gas industry.
• Support Concept / FEED / Basic / Detailed Engineering design stages with respect to Process deliverables.
• Hands-on experience in using Process simulators such as HYSYS or Unisim for process simulation and interpretation of the results.
• Must have experience of checking and validating Heat & Material Balance.
• In depth knowledge of Process and Utility Equipment sizing, such as separators, utility vessels, pumps and preparation of Equipment datasheet, Package datasheets.
• Ability to prepare, update PFDs and develop P&IDs from scratch and develop them all the way up to As-Built stage. Knowledge of Smart P&ID tools will be an advantage.
• Ability to perform line sizing calculations and hydraulics for process / utility lines.
• Must possess experience of preparing instrument datasheets including control valves and flow meters, Analyzers.
• Knowledge of sizing of pressure safety valves after analyzing the possible relief cases, blowdown valve sizing and ability to perform flare network studies would be preferred.
• Knowledge of preparing Process Philosophies and reports.
• Actively participate in HAZOP and involvement in closing out HAZOP recommendations with the necessary evidence thereof.
• Participation in SIL / LOPA workshops as and when required.
• Review of vendor P&IDs, documents and prepare comments, hold discussions to ensure resolution for bringing them to a final shape in conformity with project and client requirements.
• Develop and update technical guidelines when required.
• Evaluate design options and propose improvements and innovative solutions and seek technical guidance for complex technical issues where required.
• Ability to liaise / interface with allied engineering disciplines such as Piping, Instrumentation and Mechanical disciplines and provide guidance on process related decisions during project execution.
• Guide process engineers in preparing process related documents and suggest technical recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct and attend internal / external training sessions, technical seminars or workshops.
• Maintain awareness of industry developments, international codes and best practices related to onshore / offshore facilities.
