Job summary

NIQ is seeking an experienced Data & BI Engineer (7-9 years) to design scalable data solutions, build ETL pipelines, optimize SQL Server databases, and deliver analytics with Power BI. The role requires strong SQL, Azure Data Factory, and data modeling skills for data-driven decisions in Chennai.

You will create enterprise data warehouses, validate data quality, monitor pipelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate analytics needs into actionable dashboards.

Qualifications

• 7-9 years of experience across Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and BI.
• Hands-on with SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and ADLS Gen2.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, functions, and ETL processes.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy.
• Optimize query performance, indexing, partitioning, and data processing workloads.
• Build and support enterprise Data Warehouse and dimensional data models.
• Develop Power BI datasets, reports, dashboards, and KPIs using DAX and Power Query.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ADF pipelines, SQL jobs, and Power BI refreshes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, deployment activities, and DevOps processes.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data & BI Engineer (7-9 years) with strong expertise in SQL Server, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Power BI. The role involves designing and developing scalable data solutions, building ETL pipelines, writing complex sql queries, optimizing databases, and delivering business intelligence solutions that drive data-driven decision making.
