Job summary

NIQ is seeking a data engineer to design, develop and implement end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using ADF and Fabric, and to build scalable data processes across SQL Server, PySpark, and CosmosDB. You will partner with stakeholders to design, develop and deploy data extraction and reporting solutions, and support business functions with Power BI to maximize the value of NIQ’s data assets.

2–3 years in a data engineering/BI environment, degree in CS/Engineering, and strong SQL skills are preferred;

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent).
• 2–3 years in data engineering/BI environment.
• Excellent SQL coding (T-SQL) and experience with development tools.
• Experience with SQL Server, Power BI, Data Factory (Fabric/Azure).
• Experience with relational data design and data models.
• Experience with analytical data platforms and visualization.
• DA-100/DP-600/DP-700 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using ADF and Fabric.
• Create and optimize SQL queries in SQL Server, PySpark, CosmosDB.
• Develop end-to-end data reporting solutions in Microsoft Fabric.
• Support business functions by delivering Power BI reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver data solutions.

You will be involved in:

Designing, developing, and implementing end to end ETL and ELT pipelines using ADF and Fabric

Creating and improving complex queries and data transformation operations in SQL Server, Pyspark and CosmosDB.

Exploring, developing and implementing new end-to-end data reporting solutions in Microsoft Fabric.

Supporting business functions to maximise the value of their data assets with reporting in Power BI.

Collaborating with stakeholders to design, develop and implement data extraction and reporting solutions (define requirements, refine, etc.) that best match their needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you to bring to the team:

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent combination of skills and experience)

2-3 years working within a data engineering/business intelligence environment

Excellent SQL coding and experience with various development tools and platforms including

E - SQL Server technologies (T-SQL)

E - Power BI

E - Data Factory (Fabric or Azure)

P - Microsoft Fabric

Experience of relational database design and data models

Experience with various analytical data platforms and technologies

Previous experience with Power BI and other data visualisation techniques to interpret requirements and present as clear, compelling and actionable stories

Experience in custom or structured data integration design, implementation, and maintenance

DA-100/DP-600/DP-700certified (preferred)
