Job summary

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) invites an Executive Vice President - Innovative Financing to lead the strategic growth agenda by mobilizing innovative financing solutions for India's skilling ecosystem.

You will be responsible for creating sustainable funding pipelines, expanding government and corporate partnerships, developing new business models, and positioning NSDC as the preferred partner for skill development financing and implementation, including blended and outcome-based

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in business, finance or relevant domains is required.
  • Master’s in Business Administration or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in banking or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead NSDC's Innovative Finance division and develop financing solutions.
  • Design and operationalize blended finance, outcome-based financing, and related instruments.
  • Scale Skill Impact Bond programmes by onboarding funders, partners and investors.
  • Develop financing products leveraging CSR, ESG, philanthropy, and multilateral funds.

Executive Vice President - Innovative Financing

At the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), we are dedicated to empowering India's youth through comprehensive skill development. Established on July 31, 2008, as a not-for-profit public limited company under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 (now corresponding to section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013), we operate as a unique Public Private Partnership (PPP) model under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Our collaborative structure, with 49% of the share capital held by the government and 51% by the private sector, enables us to be the principal architects of India's skill ecosystem.

We actively support enterprises, start-ups, and organizations by providing funding support, concessional loans, and other innovative financial products. Our mission is to enhance, support, and coordinate private sector initiatives in vocational training, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder skill development. As the strategic implementation and knowledge partner of the Skill India Mission, we focus on creating efficient training initiatives that open up a world of opportunities in futuristic skills for the potential workforce.

Job Description

Lead NSDC's strategicgrowth agenda by mobilizing innovative financing solutions. The role will beresponsible for creating sustainable funding pipelines, expanding governmentand corporate partnerships, developing new business models, and positioningNSDC as the preferred partner for skill development financing and implementation

Innovative Finance& Structured Financing

  • Lead NSDC's Innovative Finance division and develop sustainablefinancing solutions for the skilling ecosystem.
  • Design and operationalize blended finance, outcome-basedfinancing, Social Impact Bonds, Development Impact Bonds,Pay-for-Success mechanisms, guarantees, and other innovative financinginstruments.
  • Scale NSDC's Skill Impact Bond programme by onboarding outcomefunders, philanthropic organizations, impact investors, financialinstitutions, and implementation partners.
  • Develop financing products leveraging CSR, ESG, philanthropy,multilateral funding, development finance and private capital.
  • Lead partnerships with Development Finance Institutions (DFIs),Multilateral Development Banks, impact investment funds, sovereignfunds, banks, family offices and philanthropic organizations.
  • Explore Social Stock Exchange (SSE), social investment fundsand other capital market mechanisms for financing skill development.
  • Build commercially viable financing solutions aligned withNSDC's strategic priorities and Government of India initiatives.
Requirements

Bachelor’s in business, finance or relevant domains is required.

Master’s in Business Administration orequivalent is preferred.

Minimum20 years of experience in banking or related field preferred
