Job Description
We are seeking adynamic and experienced General Manager Finance - FP&A to oversee financialplanning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support the company’sstrategic goals. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen,leadership experience, and a deep understanding of financial management, reporting,and analysis. You will be responsible for providing strategic insights andrecommendations to senior management based on financial data, ensuringoperational efficiency, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including revenueforecasts, cost analysis, and capital expenditure planning.
- Prepare financial models, rolling forecasts, and scenarioanalysis to assist in business decision-making.
- Develop long-term financial projections and strategies tosupport growth and profitability objectives.
- Conduct variance analysis, providing explanations fordeviations from budget and prior periods.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and track financialperformance against benchmarks.
- Provide detailed analysis of financial results, identifyingrisks, opportunities, and trends to improve business outcomes.
- Reporting :
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financialreports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flowreports.
- Deliver insights and commentary on financial results to seniormanagement, highlighting financial trends and recommending correctiveactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal reporting timelines andexternal regulatory requirements.
- Treasury Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage company-widecash flow and the effective use of resources. Monitor cash positions andforecasts to support operational needs.
- Develop and execute strategies formanaging the company’s capital structure, including debt management andfinancing.
- Maintain and strengthenrelationships with banks, financial institutions, and other externalparties.
- Business Partnering :
- Collaborate with department heads and business units tounderstand financial needs and provide support in achieving financialtargets.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior management, providingfinancial insights that influence key business decisions.
- Drive financial discipline and cost-saving initiatives acrossdepartments.
- Process Improvement :
- Implement best practices in financial planning, forecasting,and budgeting to streamline processes.
- Identify and execute process improvements to enhance theaccuracy and efficiency of financial reporting and analysis.
- Oversee the implementation and integration of financialsystems and tools for better data management and reporting.
- Compliance & Governance :
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatoryrequirements, and internal controls.
- Lead audit processes, coordinate with external auditors, andensure the accuracy of financial statements.
- Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures tomaintain the integrity of financial data.
- Lead and mentor the FP&A team, fostering a culture ofcontinuous improvement and professional development.
- Manage the recruitment, training, and performance of financestaff to build a high-performing finance team.
- Provide leadership in financial planning and analysis,ensuring team members contribute to the broader financial goals.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, orrelated field (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).
- Professional certification CA.
- Experience :
- Around 18 years of experience in finance, with at least 4years in a senior FP&A.
- Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting,forecasting, and analysis.
- Proven track record of managing financial systems andimplementing process improvements.
- Skills :
- Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting techniques, anddata analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), financialstatements, and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, orsimilar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with theability to explain complex financial information to non-financialstakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to managecross-functional teams and collaborate across departments.
