Job summary

Treelife is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage the VCFO practice for multiple startup clients. The role includes bookkeeping, finalization, MIS reporting, and advising on tax compliance and due diligence.

Ideal candidates hold M.Com/B.Com or semi-qualified CA status with 2–4 years of experience, preferably from a CA firm. Expertise in MS Office, Tally, and familiarity with QuickBooks/Zoho/Winma is valued. The position requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience, preferably from a CA firm.
• Proficient in MS Office and Tally; knowledge of QuickBooks/Zoho/Winma welcomed.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; fast-paced learning ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage VCFO practice for startup clients including bookkeeping and MIS reporting.
• Oversee direct and indirect tax compliances (GST, TDS, income tax).
• Support financial due diligence during fund-raising and provide tax advisory.
• Act as primary client SPOC and mentor team members; maintain client retention.

Who are we looking for?

Looking for an experienced resource preferably from CA Firm who will be able to execute the finance and accounts operations for multiple startup clients.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Manage the VCFO practice focused on start-up clients including assisting them in bookkeeping, finalization, MIS reporting, etc.
• Extensive practical knowledge in direct and indirect taxation and related compliances
• In-hand practical experience in managing statutory compliances (GST, TDS, Income‑tax etc.)
• Assistance in financial due diligence while the client is raising an investment
• Provide ongoing financial and tax advisory to clients
• Assist in the work of team members
• Client’s primary SPOC and participation in strategic discussions
• Retaining existing clients and solving functional queries within TAT

What are the key requirements for the role?

• M.Com / B.Com / Semi Qualified CA
• 2 to 4 years of experience (preferably with a CA firm)
• Proficiency in using MS Office and Tally
• Add on knowledge in Quickbooks, Zoho, Winma
• Excellent Analytical skills and Communication Skills (Written and Oral)
• Able to adapt and work with the fast-paced work culture and to adapt and learn quickly
