Perstorp is seeking an Executive / Sr. Executive Instrumentation at its Bharuch, Gujarat site.

The role centers on ensuring smooth plant operation and maximum availability through planning, resource management, and preventive maintenance of instrumentation in a continuous process plant. The candidate should have a Diploma or Graduate in Instrumentation from a reputed institution, with 10 years (for graduates) or 15 years (for diploma holders) in maintenance or planning roles.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Graduate in Instrumentation required from a reputed institution.
• 10 years of experience for graduates or 15 years for diploma holders in a continuous process plant maintenance or planning.
• Proficient with MS Office; working knowledge of field operations; SAP PM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth plant operation and maximum plant availability.
• Assess breakdowns from shift manager and plan scope of work and resources.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and calibration of instrumentation per work orders.
• Work in a team on shift/general basis with emphasis on safety and housekeeping.
• Establish safety culture and 5S in maintenance system.
• Identify training needs by assessing crew skills.

About Site :

Site Sayakha, a greenfield facility located in Sayakha, District Bharuch, Gujarat State, India, inaugurated in February 2024, is Perstorp’s latest state of the art production plant. This is the first major investment in India by Perstorp, and the site is spread out over approximately 28 acres of land. The plant produces Penta which has a vast range of application areas, being an essential building block for coatings, as well synthetic lubricants, and antioxidants.

Our new plant solidifies and strengthens our long-term position and presence in the growth region of Asia. It also reinforces our ability to meet growing demand, particularly in Asian markets.

Job Title: Executive / Sr. Executive Instrumentation

Main Function:

The main purpose of position is to ensure smooth plant operation and maximise plant availability in close coordination with department crews. The Job Involves critical activities like Planning, coordination, resource management, Spare Part Management, safety compliances, Permit compliances during the breakdowns.

Role:

The role is responsible to

• The main purpose of Instrument Engineer is to ensure smooth plant operation and maximum plant availability.
• Based upon Shift Manager information, understanding the details of the Breakdown and preliminary assessment.
• Based on breakdown, prepare scope of work and Plan for resource requirement.
• Ensure execution of Preventive Maintenance, calibration of plant instrumentation as per work order.
• Position is expected to work in a group of team members working in shift/general in close coordination.
• Promote housekeeping culture in the plant maintenance system.
• Practice 5S culture in maintenance system.
• Develop high standard of safety culture in maintenance system.
• Establishing skill assessment procedure, assessing crews skill level, identify skill gaps and recommend for training needs.

Required Knowledge base and experience:

• A Full-Time Diploma/ Graduate Instrument Engineer from a Reputed Institution
• A graduate candidate with 10 years of experience or a diploma candidate with 15 years of experience in a continuous process plant in Maintenance or Planning Department.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of field operations. SAP PM experience preferred.
• Proven experience in PM Module on SAP Knowledge
• Effectively communicate both orally and through written text.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents including PFD's and P&ID's.
• Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
• Keen, insight of production process and ability to pick up issues before becoming major problems.
