Job summary

JobItUs in Visakhapatnam seeks a Quality Operations Lead to oversee fabric quality from production to shipment. You will ensure compliance with customer specifications and drive defect resolution with timely replacements to maintain on-time delivery.

The role requires hands-on expertise in textile quality, strong analytical and leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to uphold safety and 5S standards on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end technical & functional quality operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and develop quality teams to improve inspection accuracy and overall quality performance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fabric manufactured per customer quality requirements and specifications.
• Identify defects per customer parameters and arrange timely replacements to meet monthly OTD targets.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to highlight technical quality issues and secure replacements on time.
• Manage, guide, and calibrate quality inspectors to improve inspection accuracy and overall quality performance.
• Ensure compliance with 5S, workplace safety protocols, and operational best practices on the production floor.

Job description

The Job:

• Responsible to deliver the fabric manufactured in accordance with customer quality requirements and specifications.
• Responsible for identifying the defective as per the customer quality parameters obtaining timely replacements to achieve monthly On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets.
• Responsible for coordinating with relevant cross functional teams to highlight the technical quality issues pertaining to the department and get replacements on time.
• Responsible for managing, guiding, and calibrating quality inspectors to improve inspection accuracy and overall quality performance.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with 5S standards, workplace safety protocols, and operational best practices on the production floor.

The Person Essential:

Should have strong hands‑on experience in end to end Technical & Functional Quality operations.

• Possess a Graduation or Post Graduation in Textile Engineering / Textile Processing or any other equivalent qualification.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Quality Operation and Management systems.
• Good understanding of weft knits fabrication.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team handling skills
