Job summary

Ayr Energy, Inc. is seeking a Quality executive based in India to build and develop quality suppliers for transformer and switchgear manufacturing. The role emphasizes hands-on inspection, strict adherence to QAP, and end-to-end documentation from raw materials through dispatch.

The candidate will oversee oil leakage testing, final testing, and non-conformity resolution, collaborating with purchasing and design teams to drive quality improvements across global engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in oil-filled transformer manufacturing quality control.
• Knowledge of QAP, customer drawings, and supplier quality requirements.
• Understanding of transformer manufacturing process sequences and inspection criteria.
• Ability to inspect oil leakage, final testing, and accessories.
• Experience with NC tracking and corrective action verification.
• Document control from raw materials to dispatch.
• Experience in in-process quality for transformer production.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily inspections with suppliers under QAP.
• Record critical points in job cards and ensure compliance.
• Oversee oil leakage testing and ensure zero leakage before dispatch.
• Conduct 100% transformer final testing with required accessories.
• Track non-conformities and verify action plans at supplier end.
• Maintain complete manufacturing documentation from RMC to dispatch photos.
• Coordinate with Purchase & Design for quality improvements and deviations.

Job description

As a Quality executive at Ayr Energy, you will have the opportunity to build and develop quality suppliers for the manufacturing of Transformers and switchgear product ready to deliver to customer. This role offers a competitive salary and significant career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily inspection plan & execution with supplier. Follow the QAP / Customer specific QAP


• Inspection activity during manufacturing stagewise, record of critical points in job cards & review & check compliance.


• Inspection activity for oil leakage testing. Ensure zero leakage at supplier end as well after dispatch.


• 100% Transformer final testing & final inspection with required accessories.


• Tracking of any non-conformity & required action plan implantation verification at supplier end.


• Complete track record of product manufacturing documentation start from RMC, In-process job cards, final testing, packaging inspection documents, dispatch photos etc.


• Planned manufacture process audit as per quality requirement. Monitor the NC’s and action plan.


• Communication with our Purchase & design for any improvement point quality related, requirement related, material related & same deviation / approval to proceed further manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Good exposure for the Oil filled transformer manufacturing process in Distribution Transformers / Power Transformers.


• Good knowledge of QAP, Customer approved drawings, Customer specific Requirement, Approved supplier list, Customer specific QAP.


• Good knowledge of the Transformer manufacturing process sequence & process parameters.


• Knowledge of different types of winding & its process parameters inspection


• Knowledge of the different type of core material, core building process & inspection criteria.


• Core coil assembly & complete connection inspection, cable routine, min clearance in oil, ph- ph & ph- earth.


• CCA testing before ovening & after ovening. Dimensional verification of checking as per drawing.


• Knowledge of electrical testing during process like, ratio, MBT, vector group, winding resistance, 2kV test, IR & PI test.


• Knowledge of Ovening process, vacuum process, Tanking process, oil filling process, oil leakage testing process.


• Knowledge of final Electrical test as per IS/IEC & other internation standard.


• Knowledge of inspection of accessories & its inspection.


• Knowledge final product packaging & dispatch process.


• For Diploma holder 5 to 8 years of experience in In-process quality (Transformer)


• For BE holder 3 to 5 years of experience in In-process quality (Transformer)


• Only Distribution / Power oil filled Transformer manufacturing background.
