Job summary

Piramal Pharma Limited in Maharashtra is seeking an Executive - Quality Control to perform microbiological testing and ensure GMP-compliant documentation. You will handle BET, microbial cultures, environmental monitoring, and daily QC operations.

The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to SOPs, and timely reporting within a global CDMO framework. Prior experience in pharma QC and lab instrumentation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in microbiology testing across in-process, intermediate, and finished products.
• Strong documentation practices aligned with GMP and SOPs.
• Knowledge of BET, endotoxin testing, and environmental monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for microbiological sampling and testing of in-process, intermediate, and finished products.
• Ensure culture media preparation, growth promotion testing, culture maintenance, instrument calibration, equipment operation, lab cleaning and disinfection, waste disposal, and temperature/humidity monitoring in GMP-compliant procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of all microbiology laboratory activities.
• Perform microbiological sampling and analysis of in-process, intermediate, and finished products.
• Conduct microbial limit tests, water analysis, and pathogen testing.
• Perform Bacterial Endotoxin Test (BET) for product and water samples.
• Calibrate laboratory instruments, including balances, pH meters, and colony counters.
• Monitor and record laboratory temperature and humidity.

Job Description

• Responsible for microbiological sampling and testing of in-process, intermediate, and finished products, including microbial limit, water, pathogen, bacterial endotoxin, and environmental monitoring tests.
• Ensure culture media preparation, growth promotion testing, culture maintenance, instrument calibration, equipment operation, laboratory cleaning and disinfection, waste disposal, and temperature/humidity monitoring in compliance with GMP and established quality procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of all microbiology laboratory activities.
• Perform microbiological sampling and analysis of in-process, intermediate, and finished products.
• Conduct microbial limit tests, water analysis, and pathogen testing.
• Perform Bacterial Endotoxin Test (BET) for product and water samples.
• Prepare culture media and perform growth promotion testing.
• Maintain and subculture microbial cultures.
• Perform environmental monitoring of the microbiology laboratory.
• Conduct microbial purity testing of gamma-irradiated bottles.
• Calibrate laboratory instruments, including balances, pH meters, and colony counters.
• Monitor BOD incubators and walk-in coolers.
• Operate autoclaves, colony counters, microscopes, and other microbiology laboratory equipment.
• Ensure proper disposal of microbiological waste.
• Perform laboratory cleaning and disinfection activities.
• Monitor and record laboratory temperature and humidity.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with GMP and established SOPs.
