Qualifications

• Postgraduate in Agronomy or Seed Science or a graduate in Agriculture.
• 3–8 years of experience in seed QA or related field.
• Knowledge of seed quality norms, testing procedures; ISTA/NABL accreditation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Execute lab testing processes as assigned.
• Assess weekly/daily test load for various testing activities and plan resources accordingly.
• Assist in preparation of center budget and resource planning exercises.
• Conduct process surveillance to minimize errors and ensure seeds meet quality standards.
• Conduct seed quality tests and declare results per guidelines.
• Participate in inter-laboratory comparison tests (proficiency tests).

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Execute lab testing processes as assigned.
• Assess weekly / daily test load for various testing activities and plan the resources / consumables accordingly to ensure timely testing of seeds.
• Assist in preparation of center budget and resource planning exercise.
• Conduct process surveillance activities as assigned for the plant to minimize the errors in the process and deliver seeds with required quality standards.
• Conducting required seed quality tests and declaring results as per the set guidelines.
• Participate in Inter-laboratory comparison tests (Proficiency test).
