Job summary

Jajabor Brand Consultancy is seeking an Executive PR to drive visibility for Education and EdTech brands. You will build journalist relationships, craft compelling press material, and secure meaningful coverage across Education, EdTech, and startup media.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Public Relations or Corporate Communications.
• Prior PR agency experience is mandatory.
• Experience working with Education, EdTech, Higher Education, Skilling, Technology, or Startup brands is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Established media relationships within Education, Technology, Startup, or Business publications will be an added advantage.
• Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment and managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships with journalists across Education, EdTech, Startup, Business, Technology, and Corporate media.
• Pitch relevant and timely stories that secure meaningful media coverage.
• Draft press releases, media notes, bylined articles, thought leadership pieces, LinkedIn content, and founder narratives.
• Track industry trends, education policies, AI in education, skilling, higher education, startup ecosystem developments, and competitor activity.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure seamless campaign execution and proactive communication.
• Support media interactions, product launches, funding announcements, partnerships, events, webinars, and conferences.
• Create presentations, media reports, and basic creatives using Canva.
• Identify storytelling opportunities around innovation, student impact, learning outcomes, funding, partnerships, expansion, technology, and industry developments.
• Monitor media coverage and provide actionable insights to clients.

• Comfortable handling media follow-ups and managing multiple client accounts.
• Ability to convert client briefs into compelling communication with minimal supervision.
• Hands-on experience with Canva for presentations and basic creatives.
• Strong organisational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Curious, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment.
