Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking an experienced SAP BASIS technical lead to sustain, maintain, and enhance the SAP landscape across ECC, EC, ECP, IAS/SSO, BTP, CPI, PI/PO, and S/4HANA Public Cloud.

You will monitor production environments, resolve incidents, and coordinate with business stakeholders and vendor teams to deliver reliable BASIS services in a fast-paced, multi-system environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP technical consulting experience including 5+ years as SAP BASIS technical lead, architect, or project manager.
• 5+ years in SAP production support with a complex multi-product landscape.
• Completion of at least three full-lifecycle SAP implementation/upgrade projects related to ECC or S/4HANA; exposure to SuccessFactors/BTP is a plus.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities

• Sustain, maintain, and enhance existing SAP BASIS solutions by monitoring SAP BASIS operations and completing operational routine sustainment activities efficiently and on time to ensure adequate performance across all SAP systems in the landscape including system copies, refreshes, certificate updates, note installations, and health checks.
• Independently own and operate the full SAP technical landscape (ECC, EC, ECP, IAS/SSO, BTP, CPI, PI/PO, and S/4HANA Public Cloud), acting as the primary technical point of contact across these systems.
• Contribute to high-quality IT BASIS services by proactively monitoring production environments, resolving production and non-production incidents in a timely manner, and providing clear, timely stakeholder communication in line with IT management processes and policy.
• Maintain the organization's security approach across the SAP landscape, including SSO/IAS configuration, certificate/trust management, and user access controls.
• Support the internal team and project/implementation vendors with technical SAP BASIS solutions and tasks, including active participation in the S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation.
• Review and analyze existing SAP BASIS solutions and technical changes; research, evaluate, and recommend SAP technologies, innovations, and related hardware/software to continuously improve SAP solutions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and other SAP functional/module teams (Payroll, Finance, Integration, etc.) to understand requirements and translate them into sound technical solutions.
• Apply project management and vendor relationship skills to coordinate technical delivery across internal teams and external implementation partners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of working experience in SAP technical consulting, including:
• 5+ years as an SAP BASIS technical lead, architect, or project manager.
• 5+ years in an SAP production support role working with a complex, multi-product landscape.
• Completion of at least three (3) full-lifecycle SAP implementation/upgrade projects related to SAP ECC or S/4HANA. Experience with other SAP product implementations (e.g., SuccessFactors, BTP) is also considered.
• Hands-on experience across SAP SuccessFactors (EC/ECP), SAP IAS/SSO, SAP CPI, and PI/PO strongly preferred.
• SAP BTP and SAP HANA Cloud experience preferred.
• Prior exposure to or active involvement in an S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation is a strong plus.

Education and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• SAP certification is an asset.
• Broad knowledge of SAP technologies including SAP ERP, NetWeaver, and cloud components.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate the integration and configuration of SAP systems while working with multiple teams simultaneously.
• Able to work under pressure in a dynamic, technically complex, multi-system environment.
• Strong coordination, time management, and planning skills, with the ability to independently manage competing priorities across a large landscape.
• Excellent team-working abilities - able to work as a team member, sharing knowledge for the benefit of the team and the service, while also being capable of owning and driving initiatives independently.
• Good working knowledge of IT infrastructure, particularly as it relates to SAP landscapes and their interfaces.
• Expert-level knowledge of end-to-end process/solution matching across SAP modules.
• Strong communication skills in a professional, cross-functional environment, with the ability to engage confidently with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
