Job summary

Asian Paints Limited is seeking an Executive- I (Production) to oversee daily production operations at our facility in India. You will supervise shift teams, ensure adherence to established processes, and coordinate with packing and service departments to meet production targets while maintaining safety, quality and efficiency standards.

The role requires vigilant documentation in SAP, timely reporting to superiors, and proactive problem solving on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Production processes as per laid down procedures and instructions
• Carry out required transactions and process records in SAP
• Update Safety, Environmental and Quality Records regularly
• Report to Superiors on progress of the Plan/Production details and other issues within the Section
• Plan shift activities with respect to manpower, machine, batches, etc
• Coordinate with other sections (Packing) and all service departments for timely production targets
• Handle shopfloor issues and minimize production & breakdown losses
• Deploy operators in every shift and ensure batch charging/processing as per planning schedule
• Lead and supervise shift-based teams of operators & contractors
• Ensure all in-process checks are carried out as per process guidelines
• Fill shift reports and update efficiency records for operators
• Record equipment breakdowns, Unsafe Acts/conditions, and waste in portals
• Ensure smooth shift handovers with proper handover-takeover process
• Ensure availability of Raw Materials, PPEs & production consumables
• Maintain shop floor and machine/equipment hygiene
• Maintain the 5S of the section
• Participate in safety, environment & health initiatives
• Identify improvement areas and implement changes in the workplace

Key Performance Indicator-

• 1) Ensure adherence to Production process as per laid down procedures and instructions
• 2) Carry out required transactions and process records in SAP
• 3) Update Safety, Environmental and Quality Records regularly
• 4) Report to Superiors on progress of the Plan/Production details and other issues within the Section
• 5) Plan shift activities with respect to manpower, machine, batches, etc
• 6) Close coordination with other sections (Packing) and all service departments to ensure timely completion of Production target
• 7) Handling of shopfloor issues and taking appropriate actions to minimize the production & breakdown losses
• 8) Deploy operators in every shift and ensure batch charging/processing as per planning schedule.
• 9) Leading and supervising the shift based team (operators & contractors) on shift to shift basis
• 10) Ensure all in-process checks are carried as per process guidelines
• 11) Fill up the shift report of the shift and update efficiency records for all the operators in the shift end.
• 12) Capture all equipment breakdowns, Unsafe Act , Unsafe condition, waste generation in respective portals
• 13) Ensuring smooth transition of shift changeover with proper handover - takeover process
• 14) Ensuring availability Raw Materials, PPE's & production consumable items
• 15) Ensure proper shop floor and machine/equipment hygiene
• 16) Maintaining the 5S of the section
• 17) Active participation in maintaining safety, environment & Health initiative of the organization
• 18) Looking for improvement areas and implementing the same in the workplace
