TripJack in Mumbai seeks a Travel Consultant to own end-to-end itinerary planning and customer coordination, bridging product, operations, and CX. You will design FIT itineraries, coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.

You will handle revisions, pre-travel queries, and handovers within defined turnaround times, maintaining accuracy and a customer-first mindset in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in the tours & travel industry with FIT itinerary planning.
  • Proven ability to design customised FIT itineraries across varied customer profiles and budgets.
  • Strong destination knowledge across major European countries.
  • Prior experience with travel agencies, DMCs, or tour operators.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and customer-handling skills.
  • Familiarity with Europe travel logistics, transfers, rail passes, sightseeing arrangements, and local nuances.
  • Proficiency in Excel, email tools, internal trackers, and operational platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately handle documentation and data entry.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a high degree of empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer centricity, ensuring a smooth, transparent, and supportive claims experience for travel agents and their customers.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High resilience and comfort with ambiguity in a dynamic start-up ecosystem.

  • Design customised FIT itineraries tailored to each customer's preferences, budget, duration, and travel goals.
  • Build detailed day-wise travel plans covering destinations, sightseeing, transfers, routing, and logical flow.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for customers throughout the itinerary planning phase.
  • Manage multiple itinerary requests simultaneously, maintaining quality and adherence to turnaround timelines.
  • Handle itinerary revisions accurately and efficiently based on customer feedback.
  • Operations & Internal Collaboration: coordinate closely with internal operations teams to ensure accurate handover and smooth execution of travel plans.
  • Ensure all itinerary details are clearly documented and aligned with operational feasibility.
  • Address pre-travel queries and provide customers with clear guidance for a hassle‑free experience.
  • Adhere to defined SOPs, documentation standards, and internal product guidelines at all times.
  • Process adherence & continuous improvement: maintain high standards of accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all itinerary outputs; proactively identify gaps or inefficiencies in itinerary flows and customer handling processes; share structured feedback with product and operations teams to improve offerings and workflows; actively contribute to improving turnaround times, quality benchmarks, and overall customer satisfaction.
