Job summary

ITC operates its 24 Mantra Organic brand, focusing on sustainable farming and organic products. The role involves on-field farm extension services, procurement planning, and scaling organic farming in the Tekkali area.

The candidate will coordinate with field teams, promote organic practices among growers, and ensure adherence to procurement and quality standards. A BSc in Agriculture and field mobility with a two-wheeler are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSc Agriculture is required or equivalent.
• 3+ years in Crop Production, Crop procurement, Organic Agriculture.
• Proficient in Excel and own two-wheeler.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Farmer Advisory Services are carried out by the team in Contract Farming; engage with Growers/Farmer to promote Organic practices.
• Sourcing Agriculture Commodities as per Plan and parameters (quality and pricing).
• Expand Organic cultivation areas and farmer membership as per targets.
• Develop and execute State-wise Business Plans to meet KRAs: area, volume, buying efficiency, documentation compliance.
• Monitor team performance on key indicators and take steps to meet organizational goals.

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for farm extension services, sustain and expand Area under Organic Contract Farming, Procurement of Agricultural Commodities.

Key Focus Areas

• Ensure Farmer Advisory Services are carried out by the team Contract Farming, engagement programs with Growers / Farmer to Promote Practices in Organic Agriculture
• Responsible for Sourcing Agriculture Commodities as per Plan and parameters (quality and pricing)
• Responsible for Area Expansion/Farmer membership Expansion of organic cultivation as per targets
• Work with team to develop and ensure execution of State-wise Business Plan to meet KRAs viz., targeted Area, Volume, Buying Efficiency, Documentation compliance
• Review Teams Performance on Key Indicators and take steps to meet the Organizations Goals & Objectives
