Job summary

JobItUs in India (Pune District) seeks a cost accounting leader to drive the cost accounting function, manage monthly closes, and deliver MIS for cost drivers.

You will analyze product-wise costing, maintain SKU databases, support long-term financial plans, and coordinate with operations to mitigate variances and optimize margins.

Responsibilities

• Assessing 3rd party (3P) costing and ensuring timely cost reconciliations.
• Costing for new products, recipe changes, schemes and trade promotions.
• Plan, organize and direct all the activities of the cost accounting function.
• Manage day to day operations of the existing cost accounting function from management of current rates to monthly close and analysis.
• Develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers.
• Proactive analysis of variances and communication of issues and opportunities to operations management.
• Generate costing related MIS at a pre-agreed frequency.
• Pricing of new products from a cost/margin standpoint, benchmarking with competitors, and channel margins.
• Make vs. buy decisions analysis.
• Driving price revision activities considering price elasticity, gross margins, sales volume, and customer price benchmarking.

Job description

• Assess and analyse multiple product wise costing parameters & validate them
• Product & state wise costing to be done every month
• Maintain SKU master database – state wise
• Costing for new products, recipe changes, schemes and trade promotions
• Responsible for timely price increase through competition benchmarking, pricing elasticity and
• sales growth assessment
• Preparing long-term strategic financial plans.
• Providing insights through Latest Estimates (LE) and Best Estimates (BE) to drive
• strategic decisions on cost lines and revenue.
• Ensuring the achievement of AOP targets and updating the AOP plan monthly or
• quarterly based on the latest estimates.
• Analyzing actual costing and variance reporting, identifying unfavorable variance,
• and collaborating with operations to mitigate them.
• Assessing 3rd party (3P) costing and ensuring timely cost reconciliations.
• Assessing capital expenditures and investment projects on ROI, payback, and IRR
• parameters.
• Make vs. buy decisions analysis.
• Pricing of new products from a cost/margin standpoint, benchmarking with
• competitors, and channel margins.
• Driving price revision activities considering price elasticity, gross margins, sales
• volume, and customer price benchmarking. Facilitating internal and statutory audits
• for costing, inventory valuation, and pricing matters.
• Ensuring controls are in place concerning Korean SOX compliance.
• Generate costing related MIS at a pre-agreed frequency
• Plan, organize and direct all the activities of the cost accounting function
• Manage day to day operations of the existing cost accounting function from management of current
• rates to monthly close and analysis
• Support the Project Cost Team in the development of a standard costing system
• Manage the transition from the existing cost environment to a new standard cost system
• Identify, hire and develop in-plant cost accountants
• Development and maintenance of standard costs
• Perform the monthly closing activities including preparation of the cost to operate statement along with
• supporting analysis
• Proactive analysis of variances and communication of issues and opportunities to operations
