Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a skilled Software Engineer for its Tax Technology team in a global, collaborative setting. You will design, code, test, and support solutions using Python, AWS, and API integration with enterprise platforms.

You will ensure engineering best practices across delivery lifecycles and stay current with security controls. The role requires hands-on experience with Python, AWS, APIs, and CI/CD tooling, plus strong SQL skills and data-aware thinking.

Qualifications

• 4 to 9 years of hands-on Python programming with AWS concepts and API integration.
• Integration with enterprise platforms/data providers via APIs and/or file-based methods.
• Understanding of engineering best practices from data and security controls perspective.
• Experience in IaaS and CloudFormation with hands-on CICD tools (GitHub/Bitbucket/Bamboo/Ansible).
• Experience working on complex SQLs and batch scheduling.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will work closely with various technology teams, business teams and stakeholders globally in designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting solutions using technologies and concepts in Python programming, AWS and API integration with enterprise platforms. You will also be responsible that application engineering best practices are being followed throughout the delivery lifecycle and are kept up to date.

What you offer

• 4 to 9 Years of hands-on experience in Python programming with solid experience in AWS concepts and API integration (On-Premise/SaaS).
• Application integration with enterprise-wide platforms/data providers via APIs and/or file-based methods.
• Understanding of engineering best practices from data and security controls perspective.
• Experience in infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and cloud formation along with hands on experience on developer tools like GitHub/Bitbucket/Bamboo/Ansible (or other CICD tools).
• Experience working on complex SQLs and batch scheduling.
