Job summary

ExlService Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Cash Application Executive to manage the complete cycle of accounts receivable and cash posting. You will process daily payments by check, ACH/Wire and credit card, ensuring accurate application to customer accounts.

You will collaborate with collections and finance teams to resolve unapplied cash, prepare status reports, and communicate with customers by email and phone. The role requires strong research, accuracy, and the ability to multitask.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Finance and Accounting.
• 1-3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Process and apply cash received daily by check, ACH/Wire and credit card.
• Research unapplied/unidentified cash with teams to minimize unapplied cash.
• Prepare activity and status reports and reconcile unapplied cash.
• Contact customers by email and phone to obtain missing payment information.
• Manage logged and unapplied payments; remittance management and bank statement review.
• Use lockbox technology to print reports and view cash application images.
• Handle multiple tasks with strong research and resolution skills; client interactions.

Understand the complete cycle of Account Receivable and Cash Application Process. Collaborate with team to process and apply all cash received daily in the workflow by check, ACH/Wire and credit card. The Cash application executive will be performing the payment processing against specific criteria.

• Works with collection, financial operations, and accounts receivables teams in researching unapplied/unidentified cash amounts so that unapplied cash can be kept to a minimum.
• Prepares activity and status reports and reconciles unapplied cash as appropriate.
• Contacts customers via emails and phone calls to inquire about incomplete information related to payments.
• Managing logged and unapplied payments
• Remittance management and bank statements review.
• Utilizes current lockbox technology to print reports and view images related to cash applications
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, excellent research and resolution skills
• Client interaction on daily/weekly basis

Weekly and monthly reporting of unapplied cash, duplicate payments, refunds etc.
