Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Excavator Operator role based in Kalyan. The Excavator Operator will be responsible for safely operating excavators and related heavy equipment for earthmoving, trenching, site preparation, and material handling on construction and infrastructure projects. Daily tasks include interpreting site plans, following supervisor instructions, positioning equipment accurately, performing routine pre-start checks, and monitoring equipment performance during operations. The role involves coordinating with site supervisors and other crew members to maintain productivity, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and environmental guidelines, and reporting any hazards or equipment issues promptly. The individual will also assist with basic housekeeping around the work area, support loading and unloading activities, and adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in equipment operation, including safe handling and control of excavators and related heavy equipment.
• Practical experience in excavation work, such as earthmoving, grading, and trench digging on construction or infrastructure sites.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment capabilities, limitations, and safety procedures, with the ability to work in varied site and weather conditions.
• Skills in equipment maintenance, including routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
• Experience in trench operations, including understanding of soil conditions, trench stability, and adherence to safety standards.
• Valid heavy equipment or excavator operator certification/licence as required by local regulations.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety practices, PPE use, and compliance with company and statutory safety guidelines.
• Ability to follow instructions, read basic site drawings, work within a team, and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers.
• Prior experience in construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects in a similar role is preferred.
