Job summary

Telioev in Bengaluru is seeking an EV Design Engineer to lead the design of vehicle components, focusing on performance, safety, and efficiency. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver next‑generation electric mobility solutions.

You will design chassis, body, suspension, and interiors using CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX), perform structural analysis, select materials, and validate designs against safety standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in vehicle or component design (EV preferred).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software and knowledge of GD&T and CAE tools.
• Understanding of EV architecture, packaging and electrical-mechanical integration.
• Familiarity with vehicle safety regulations and design validation processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and passion for sustainable mobility.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop vehicle components (chassis, body, suspension, interiors) for electric vehicles using CAD tools.
• Collaborate with powertrain, battery, and electronics teams to integrate mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform structural analysis, material selection, and design optimization for weight and safety.

• Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, and root cause analysis for design issues.

As an EV Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and design of electric vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, safety, efficiency, and user experience. • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Support prototype development, functional testing, and validation of components and systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, homologation requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, and root cause analysis for design-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
