Job summary

Parker Hannifin India Pvt.Ltd. in Mumbai seeks a skilled ETP/STP Plant Operator to operate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with norms. You will monitor processes, adjust chemical dosing, and maintain daily records.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, safety adherence, and reporting faults. Handle pumps, motors, blowers and instrumentation, while upholding housekeeping and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of ETP & STP processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of water treatment chemicals and dosage control.
• Can read and understand process flow diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of pumps, motors, blowers and instrumentation.
• Must follow safety and environmental norms.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ETP & STP plants efficiently.
• Monitor and control treatment processes to ensure treated water quality within norms.
• Ensure compliance with pollution control board norms and company standards.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and minor repairs of equipment.
• Maintain records, logs and reports of daily operations and water analysis.
• Ensure good housekeeping and safe working conditions in the plant.
• Report any breakdowns or abnormalities to supervisor/maintenance team.
• Support in achieving zero discharge and environmental compliance.
• Check and record inlet & outlet flow, pH, TDS, COD, BOD, TSS and other parameters.
• Monitor and operate all units: Collection Tank, Equalization Tank, Aeration Tank, Settling Tank, Filter Feed Tank, etc.
• Start/stop and monitor operation of pumps, blowers, motors, mixers, and dosing systems.
• Check chemical dosing (pH adjustment, coagulant, polymer, chlorine, etc.) as per requirement.
• Perform sludge handling - drying beds, sludge transfer and disposal.
• Clean screens, barracks, filters and remove any blockage.
• Check DO (Dissolved Oxygen), MLSS, and maintain biological activity in STP.
• Check and maintain instruments - pH meter, DO meter, MLSS, flow meter, etc.
• Record daily readings, maintain logbook and submit reports.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety in ETP & STP area.
