Job summary

Ingenium Digital is seeking an ETL Testing + Azure Specialist/Lead to validate data pipelines and DW solutions across multiple locations in India. The role requires 6–11 years of experience, strong SQL skills, and hands-on Azure data services expertise. Hybrid work with two days in-office and FTE engagement.

The candidate should be proficient in end-to-end ETL testing, data validation, and collaborating with development teams to ensure data quality and performance in Azure-based environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ETL Testing experience.
• Strong expertise in DWH Testing concepts.
• Excellent hands-on experience with SQL and Advanced SQL queries.
• Good understanding of Data Modeling, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.
• Experience in validating large datasets.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Services (ADF, Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake).
• Experience with defect management and test management tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes and Data Warehouse solutions.
• Validate data movement from source systems to target databases/data warehouses.
• Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts for ETL workflows.
• Perform data validation, data reconciliation, and data quality checks.
• Write complex SQL queries for backend data verification and analysis.
• Validate transformations, mappings, business rules, and data accuracy.
• Work with Azure-based data solutions such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake.
• Identify, log, track, and resolve defects in collaboration with development teams.
• Participate in requirement analysis, test estimation, and defect triage meetings.
• Ensure data integrity, completeness, consistency, and performance of ETL pipelines.

Overview

The ETL/Data Testing role involves the validation of data pipelines and processes that extract, transform, and load data.

As a ETL Test Engineer, you must be highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills. You should also be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, both independently and as part of a team.
