Job summary

PwC India seeks an experienced Solution Data Architect and Lead to own end-to-end data architecture for large-scale cloud/on-premise transformations. You will lead cross-functional teams of analysts and engineers and serve as the primary client-facing representative for delivery matters.

The role requires 10–14 years of experience in data platforms, strong Medallion architecture knowledge, and hands-on ETL and data modelling skills. Travel to client site may be required.

Qualifications

• 10–14 years overall experience in data architecture and delivery.
• Hands-on with moving code from development to production.
• Strong with Medallion architecture and scalable data platforms.
• Data modelling experience including Data Vault.
• Experience building Data Management layers for financial services is preferred.
• Architect end-to-end ETL solutions aligned to business needs.
• Proficient in data transformation and multiple ETL tools.
• Familiarity with major databases and reporting tools.
• Experience with Lakehouse platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.

Responsibilities

PwC is helping multiple clients to setup and build data management store. The solution will be a combination of Reporting and analytical solution for Business Users across the Bank.

We are seeking an experienced Solution Data Architect and Lead to join our team working on a large-scale cloud/on-prem data transformation program. In this role, you will own solution data architecture end-to-end, lead cross-functional teams of analysts and engineers, and act as the primary client-facing representative for project delivery matters.

Skills:

• 1. Should have overall experience in the range of 10 to 14 years.
• 2. Vast hands-on experience in working with development to production code migration
• 3. Well versed with Medallion architecture principles and best practices for building layered, scalable data platforms.
• 4. Strong background in data modelling, including hands-on experience with Data Vault methodology.
• 5. Proven, hands-on experience designing and implementing a Data Management layer (Data Lake/Warehouse/Lakehouse) for a Financial Services client (preferred).
• 6. Ability to architect end-to-end ETL solutions aligned with business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• 7. Strong skills in data transformation.
• 8. Multiple ETL technologies (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, Talend, etc.).

Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

• 1. Define cloud solution architecture for enterprise-scale data platforms, including Lakehouse architectures.
• 2. Design and implement Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) layered architectures to structure data ingestion, curation, and consumption.
• 3. Prepare functional and technical solution designs aligned with business and technical requirements.
• 4. Drive solution decision-making and enforce architecture governance standards.
• 5. Support the implementation and optimization of cloud, Lakehouse, and/or on-premise data platforms

Delivery & Leadership

• 1. Lead end-to-end delivery of data solutions across multiple workstreams.
• 2. Lead project streams and coordinate delivery activities across teams.
• 3. Guide and manage teams of data analysts and data engineers.
• 4. Mentor and develop junior colleagues, supporting their technical growth.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• 1. Act as the primary liaison between the firm and client stakeholders.
• 2. Communicate architecture decisions, progress, and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
