Job summary

Mouser Electronics seeks a data engineer specializing in ETL, SQL, and SSIS to implement and optimize data pipelines for large datasets. You will design and maintain SQL Server-based solutions, perform performance tuning, and ensure data quality across DW components.

Responsibilities include developing ETL processes, automating maintenance tasks, and deploying changes with minimal downtime. Strong communication and collaboration with senior engineers are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with SSIS package coding and maintenance.
• Experience in DW/BI performance tuning.
• Create ETL packages (SSIS mandatory).
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support deployment activities as required.
• Manage SQL Databases, including NoSQL/Cloud Database as applicable.
• Experience in creation of SQL Tables, Views, materialized views, Stored Procedures, and working on complex T‑SQL statements.
• Expert knowledge in traditional relational database concepts and design; fluent in SQL.
• Database design and query optimization.
• Write and debug stored procedures and advanced SQL operations.
• Automate manual data tasks through workflows and ETL packages.
• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot daily jobs using SQL Server Agent.
• Administrate application and server environments.
• Analyze data quality and make recommendations for data preparation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially with technical analysis.
• Experience with data manipulation, data engineering, and working with large data sets.
• Follow guidance from senior team members to plan, deploy, and maintain critical data solutions.
• Perform system monitoring and technical support.
• Install and configure SQL Server, apply patches and fixes, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance.
• Create backup plans, develop and test disaster recovery scenarios, manage security, server sizing, and performance tuning.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
