Job Description

The role is to develop and maintain databases across multiple projects sharing a common business domain. Database development cycles include data modelling, physical schemas, database programming, ETL development, Data warehouse and BI development.

Accountabilities:

• Using data modelling techniques, design and deploy database schemas.
• Development and maintenance of the database stored procedures, views and functions for hosted web applications or batch processing.
• Development and maintenance of ETL platform/applications
• Diagnose and resolve database access and performance issues with excellent experience in query optimisation and indexing.
• Ensure all database systems meet business and performance requirements. Identify inefficiencies in current databases and investigate solutions
• Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for database modifications.
• Produce ad-hoc queries and develop reports to support business needs
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation.

Working and Skill Requirements: Overall 6-8 Yrs Exp

• In-depth experience in conceptual, logical and data physical modelling with normalization techniques.
• 4-6 years of experience in database development with MS SQL Server
• 3-4 years of experience in ELT development using SSIS
• In-depth experience in writing complex stored procedures.
• Command on writing dynamic SQLs
• Excellent knowledge of writing complex queries
• Hands-on query optimization and enhancements
• Command on writing DML codes
• Experience in constructing ETL packages, including data loads, transformations, file processing and notification tasks using SSIS
• Knowledge of Java programming is a plus
• BE, Btech in IT. Master is a plus
