Job summary

Scientechnic is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimation Manager with strong GCC/UAE experience in MEP tendering and estimation. The candidate will lead the estimation/QTO team, review drawings and BOQs, and ensure compliance with UAE standards and authority requirements.

You will manage multiple tenders, perform rate analyses and provide cost optimization inputs, coordinating with design, procurement and commercial teams throughout tender processes.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 14+ years of UAE/GCC MEP estimation and tendering experience.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC standards and authority requirements.
• Proven leadership of estimation/QTO teams.
• Ability to meet tight tender deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Estimation Engineers, Junior Engineers and QTO Engineers.

• Prepare and review electrical quantity take-offs, cost estimates and tender pricing.
• Conduct rate analysis and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimation Manager with strong GCC/UAE experience in MEP tendering and estimation, predominantly in electrical works. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of UAE standards and proven experience managing estimation/QTO teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Estimation Engineers, Junior Engineers and QTO Engineers.
• Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs and scope of work.
• Prepare and review electrical quantity take-offs, cost estimates and tender pricing.
• Conduct rate analysis and obtain/evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks and commercial opportunities.
• Coordinate with design, procurement and commercial teams during tendering.
• Provide value-engineering and cost-optimization inputs.
• Ensure compliance with UAE standards, DEWA and applicable authority requirements.
• Manage multiple tenders and ensure timely, accurate submissions.

Technical Requirements

• Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC electrical standards and authority requirements.
• Good understanding of LV/MV systems, transformers, substations, MDB/SMDB/DBs, cables, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, generators and UPS.
• Strong skills in BOQ, QTO, rate analysis and cost estimation.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel; experience with estimation software is an advantage.
• Familiarity with IEC/BS standards and UAE construction practices.

Candidate Profile

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 14+ years of experience, with significant UAE/GCC MEP estimation & tendering experience.
• Previous experience with an MEP/electromechanical contractor preferred.
• Proven team-management experience.
• Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight tender deadlines.

GCC/UAE electrical estimation and tendering experience is mandatory.
