Job summary

S Raheja Realty seeks a competent Construction Cost Estimator in Mumbai to prepare detailed estimates, BOQs and budgets for various construction works. You will perform quantity take-offs from drawings and analyze material, labour, equipment and subcontractor costs to ensure accurate project pricing.

Coordinate with Projects, Procurement and other departments to review quotations, monitor costs, and ensure timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing project cost estimates, BOQs and budgets.
• Ability to prepare estimates for civil, finishing, MEP, interior works.
• Proficient in quantity take-offs from drawings and documents.
• Experience in analysing material, labour, equipment and subcontractor costs.
• Experience in rate analysis based on market rates and historical data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project cost estimates, BOQs, rate analysis and budgets.
• Prepare estimates for civil, finishing, MEP, interior and other construction works.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and project documents.
• Analyse material, labour, equipment and subcontractor costs to arrive at accurate project costs.
• Prepare and review Rate Analysis based on current market rates, approved rates and historical data.
• Obtain and compare quotations from vendors, contractors and suppliers.
• Review contractor quotations and identify deviations, exclusions and cost variations.
• Coordinate with Projects, Procurement, Contracts, Architecture, MEP, Accounts and other departments for cost-related requirements.
• Monitor project costs against the approved budget and highlight significant variations to management.
• Prepare cost comparison statements, budget revisions and variation statements as required.
• Verify quantities and rates in contractor bills, work orders and purchase orders wherever required.
• Maintain proper records of estimates, BOQs, rate analysis, quotations and approved rates for future reference.
• Assist management in evaluating the financial and commercial feasibility of proposed works/projects.
• Ensure all estimates are prepared accurately and submitted within the required timelines.
• Participate in project/site meetings whenever required to understand scope, progress and cost implications.
