Job summary

E C R Buildtech is seeking a capable Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control, take-offs and detailed estimates from drawings and specifications. The role involves preparing client and subcontractor bills, verifying quantities on site, and ensuring cost accuracy across variations and claims.

You will coordinate with Planning, Execution, Billing, Procurement and Accounts teams to maintain cost records and prepare monthly commercial MIS. Experience in MS Excel and BOM management is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prepare and review BOQ, quantity take-offs and detailed estimates from drawings and specs.
• Prepare client RA Bills, subcontractor bills and certification documents.
• Verify quantities via site measurements and document with client/consultant.
• Prepare rate analysis for new, extra, substituted and variation items.

Responsibilities

• Monitor BOQ quantities, variations and deviations against approved contract.
• Prepare and maintain MB, reconciliation statements and quantity records.
• Conduct reconciliation of cement, steel, concrete and other major materials.
• Monitor project costs, budget, commitments and cost-to-complete.
• Review subcontractor/vendor bills and certify quantities as per work executed.
• Assist in variation, extra item, escalation and claims preparation.
• Coordinate with Planning, Execution, Billing, Procurement and Accounts teams for cost control.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings, BOQ and site conditions and raise commercial queries.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare client RA Bills, subcontractor bills and certification documents.
• Verify quantities through site measurements and jointly record measurements with the client/consultant.
• Prepare Rate Analysis for new, extra, substituted and variation items.
• Monitor BOQ quantities, variations and deviations against the approved contract.
• Prepare and maintain Measurement Books (MB), reconciliation statements and quantity records.
• Conduct reconciliation of cement, steel, concrete, blocks, tiles and other major materials.
• Monitor project costs, budget, commitments and cost-to-complete.
• Review subcontractor/vendor bills and certify quantities as per work executed.
• Assist in preparation and submission of variation, extra item, escalation and claims.
• Review contract conditions, drawings, specifications and BOQ to identify commercial implications.
• Coordinate with Planning, Execution, Billing, Procurement and Accounts teams for project cost control.
• Maintain records of work orders, purchase orders, amendments, client instructions and approvals.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings, BOQ and site conditions and raise necessary commercial queries.
• Assist in preparation of monthly cost reports and project commercial MIS.
• Ensure proper documentation for EOT, delay claims and other contractual claims.
• Support tendering activities by preparing quantity take-offs, rate analysis and cost estimates when required.Role & responsibilities
