Job summary

Aakash Educational Services (AESL) seeks an experienced Product Manager to own Phoenix ERP roadmap, covering payment collection, fee processing, refunds, and branch operations across 240+ branches pan-India. You will collaborate with Finance, Operations and Academic teams to design requirements, prioritize features, coordinate releases, and ensure robust integrations with partners and data platforms.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in ERP/enterprise software or fintech/payments product management.
• Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
• Active involvement in Sprints.
• Shipped product/features on a web-based ERP or enterprise platform at scale.
• BE/BTech from a top-tier college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead ideation and detailed product definition for Phoenix ERP modules.
• Own and develop a Phoenix roadmap aligned with Finance, Ops and Academic priorities.
• Coordinate with branch, finance, operations and audit teams to refine ideas.
• Prioritize features for maximum business impact and user delight.
• Balance continuous improvements with new features.
• Plan and rollout releases including user communication, training and feedback.
• Track feedback via Jira, Zoho Desk, and branch escalations; act on it.
• Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Audit and Engineering to ensure compliant releases.
• Manage integrations with loan/payment partners and external systems.
• Decide end-of-life for features.

Purpose of the Role

Own and drive the product roadmap for Phoenix, Aakash's core ERP platform powering payment collection, student management, fee processing and branch operations across 240+ branches pan-India, enabling Finance, Operations and Academic teams to run the business seamlessly and reliably

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the ideation and detailed product definition for Phoenix ERP modules (payment collection, fee processing, refunds, outstanding management, branch operations). Own the business requirements document, product requirements documents & acceptance criteria for all features.
• Own and develop a roadmap for Phoenix across all / assigned modules, in line with business priorities across Finance, Operations and Academic functions.
• Ensuring required stakeholder research, process studies and constant ongoing interaction with branch, finance, operations and audit teams to conceive and refine product ideas.
• Own and run a framework of Prioritization to maximum business impact and user delight.
• Bringing good trade-off between continuous improvements and new feature additions.
• Ensuring planning and streamlined rollout of releases including information flow to users, training and feedback collection
• Track all feedback channels (Jira, Zoho Desk, branch escalations) and ensuring appropriate actions to incorporate feedback.
• Drive close, ongoing coordination with Finance, Operations, Audit and Engineering teams to align on requirements, resolve production issues and ensure compliance in every release.
• Manage integrations with third-party loan/payment partners and other external systems via APIs, ensuring data accuracy and reliability across Phoenix and downstream reporting (QuickSight/Datalake).
• Decisions on end of life for features

• Process, Process, Process Ability to empathize with the end-user point of view (branch staff, finance, ops teams) and is passionate about clean, efficient workflow design.
• Highly technical Knowledge and understanding of ERP architecture, data flows and system integrations to conceive robust, scalable solutions. Ability to garner respect from Engineers .

Preferred candidate profile

• 4+ years in ERP/enterprise software or fintech/payments product management
• Should have experience of Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
• Should be actively involved in Sprints.
• Should be deeply committed to continuous learning and open to embrace various learning opportunities.
• Shipped product / features on a web-based ERP or enterprise platform, ideally at scale across multiple locations/branches (240+ branches pan-India for Phoenix).
• B.E /BTech from Top tier 1 college preferred.
