Job description

Keka is India’s #1 HR-Tech platform for SMBs, mid-market, and enterprise customers, now expanding aggressively across GCC and the US. Our unified SaaS platform powers everything from Core HR to Payroll, Talent, and Employee Experience for 10,000+ customers.

As we expand globally, Finance & Planning is becoming one of our most strategic pillars—enabling accurate payroll, compensation planning, budgeting, and workforce forecasting at scale.

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Product Manager – Finance & Planning to drive the evolution of Keka’s financial products spanning:

  • India / GCC / US Payroll
  • Compensation & Cycle Planning
  • Budgeting & Workforce Cost Planning
  • Financial Data Models & Compliance Workflows
  • Global Workforce Support

This is a high-ownership IC role, focused on strong execution, deep problem solving, and building reliable, scalable, and compliant financial products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand customer problems, compliance requirements, market insights, and convert them into clear product priorities.
  • Define and own a 2–3 quarter roadmap across Payroll, Compensation, and Budget Planning, ensuring alignment with business outcomes.
  • Drive execution for multi-geo payroll capabilities, ensuring correctness, stability, compliance, and extensibility across India, GCC, and US markets.
  • Build and enhance compensation workflows—including cycles, budgeting, approvals, and financial modeling.
  • Partner with Finance, HR, and People Ops teams of customers to validate workflows and ensure correctness of financial logic.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Design to create scalable, modular, and extensible platforms for payroll and adjacent services.
  • Work closely with Sales, CS, Support, and Finance to understand customer escalations, implementation bottlenecks, and recurring themes.
  • Represent Finance & Planning in customer discussions—validate problems, showcase roadmap, and gather insights from enterprise customers.
  • Write clear PRDs, acceptance criteria, and maintain crisp communication across sprint rituals.
  • Monitor shipped features, analyze data, evaluate success metrics, and iterate based on insights.
  • Drive high-quality delivery by anticipating risks, clarifying requirements early, and ensuring strong alignment across pods.
Who We're Looking For
Experience & Skills
  • 4-6 years of Product Management experience in B2B SaaS, preferably in finance, HR tech, or compliance-heavy domains.
  • Strong experience working in financial, payroll, compliance, HRMS, accounting, fintech, or ERP workflows—with the ability to model complex rules, edge cases, and dependencies.
  • Exposure to or strong interest in Fintech, payments, financial data modeling, cost forecasting, or compliance-driven workflows.
  • Experience with—or ability to quickly ramp into—Payroll, Compensation, Budgeting, Workforce Planning, or multi-geo statutory models (India / GCC / US).
  • Ability to independently run structured customer research programs, segment users by behavior/needs, and translate insights into actionable product decisions.
  • Strong analytical capabilities: proficiency in using data, correlation mapping, cohort analysis, adoption metrics, and churn drivers to refine priorities.
  • Experience defining and delivering quarterly product OKRs with measurable customer and business impact.
  • Proven ability to balance immediate customer issues with medium-term platform direction, making thoughtful trade-offs.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling: able to influence pods, align stakeholders, and articulate decision frameworks clearly.
  • High ownership, structured problem-solving, and comfort with ambiguity in compliance-heavy, multi-geo environments.
What Makes This Role Unique
  • Own major components of Keka’s Finance & Planning charter, influencing payroll correctness, compensation cycles, budgeting rigor, and financial predictability across India, GCC, and the US.
  • Drive cross-pod experiences by applying deep systems thinking—designing workflows that tie Payroll, Compensation, Core HR, Attendance, and Finance together into a unified experience.
  • Shape quarterly product direction by owning OKRs, conducting research cadences, segmenting customers, and defining roadmaps tied to business outcomes (activation, retention, NPS).
  • High-impact IC role with visibility across CPO, Payroll SMEs, Engineering leaders, and enterprise customers, especially as we accelerate US expansion.
  • Opportunity to lead research programs, discovery rituals, A/B experiments, and cohort analyses that elevate product quality and customer outcomes.
  • Ability to influence product culture—through better rituals, win–loss analysis, discovery reviews, and helping onboard/mentor newer PMs.
What Keka Offers
  • High trust, ownership, and autonomy.
  • Opportunity to design financial systems used across India, GCC, and the US.
  • A fast-growing global environment with real customer impact.
  • A culture that values clarity, problem-solving, and craftsmanship.
