Job summary

Opella seeks an experienced ERP O2S Functional Expert to drive SAP S/4HANA delivery within its Commercial and Grow HUB, based in Hyderabad. You will lead architecture design, support ERP integrations, and guide process owners across Sales & Distribution and Trade channels.

Must have 7+ years in SAP S4HANA with SD/Trade depth and strong communication, capable of translating requirements into robust technical designs and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years SAP S4HANA delivery in a business context, FMCG experience preferred.
• Strong SAP S4HANA Trade and SD knowledge with hands-on experience.
• Experience in order processing, ERP integration, and regulatory documentation.
• Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Project management experience and continuous improvement mindset.

Main responsibilities:

• Perform functional and technical architecture analysis, research, design, and development of functionalities, including integration with key applications, in an SAP ecosystem
• Contribute to architecture design reviews, to the product roadmap and product strategy definition in their area
• Develop a good understanding of Opella business processes and strategy through collaboration and regular engagement with key users and process owners
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, break high-level requirements into details, and distinguish user requests from underlying needs, translating these into documented architecture solutions
• Document systems and process requirements through meetings, workshops, site visits, and job shadowing
• Collaborate with the development team to develop, configure, and implement the solution as per the product development standards to meet business requirements
• Support development team with resolution of blocking issues and interdependencies and provide them architecture and design guidance
• Collaborate with other ERP functionals and business analysts to ensure end-to-end process integration and consistency, ensuring coverage of operational, statutory, and legal requirements
• Business continuity comes first: in the event of a crippling incident stopping business operations, able to manage the resolution as highest level of support within the company in their field
• Contribute to AMS (application management services) activities: provide functional expertise for complex topics and challenge / validate solution evolutions proposed by AMS team
• Data Migration activities contribution and go-live preparation
• Contribute to continuous improvement by keeping informed on new functionalities available for Sales & Distribution area (Proof of Concepts / Prototypes)
• Update training documents & contribute to trainings for Sales & Distribution area

About you: Profile:

• 7+ years doing SAP S4HANA delivery in a business-oriented context, preferably in an FMCG global company
• Strong SAP S4HANA Trade background and hands-on experience: Condition Contract management for on-invoice and off-invoice models, Accruals Management, Payments Settlement
• Strong SAP S4HANA SD knowledge and hands-on experience: Order taking (incl. EDI and CRM integration), Order Acceptance, ATP, Backorders, Export controls, Order fulfilment, Regulatory documentation (customer service), Customer Contact & claims & returns management
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Solid S4HANA configuration experience, ability to determine when to use configuration vs. custom code as well as good troubleshooting skills
• Ability to translate functional specifications into technical design documents, support the construction of efforts and cost estimates, and manage delivery the desired functionality
• Able to work on complex problems under pressure and deadlines
• Project management experience; continuous improvement skills and mindset
• Experience with multi-geography, multi-tier service design and management
• Good understanding of Application and technology Architecture
• Knowledge of agile ways of working is a plus
