Job summary

Sameeksha Capital is seeking a diligent Research Support professional to join the core investment research team, reporting to the Senior Research Analyst. The role focuses on analyzing Indian and overseas listed equities, building financial models, and supporting the investment thesis.

You will track sectors, gather financial data, update models with quarterly results, monitor earnings calls, and prepare notes for internal committees.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) and ratio analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets for data collection and analysis.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 1 year of buy-side equity research experience or actively investing in market based on fundamental research.
• Well-versed with prompt engineering and AI usage for research activities.

Responsibilities

• Research Support: Assist Senior Analysts in tracking assigned sectors and companies; gather data on financials, KPIs, and industry trends.
• Financial Modeling: Update and maintain models with quarterly results and new data; assist in building revenue projections.

The investment research team is responsible for identifying and evaluating investable ideas in the Indian and overseas listed equities across sectors, conducting thorough internal checklist processes and monitoring existing investments.

The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of financial accounting, a proficiency in Excel, and a keen desire to build a career in fundamental equity research. This is a high-growth role for a candidate passionate about reading annual reports and understanding business drivers.
